A Poem for the Insane
The 2nd afternoon I come
back to the women of Munch.
Models with god over
their shoulders, vampires,
the heads are down and
blood is the water -
color they use to turn on.
The story is not done.
There is one wall
left to walk. Yeah
Afterwards - Nathan
gone, big Eric busted,
Swanson down. It is
right, the Melancholy
on the Beach. I do not
split
I hold on to the demon
tree, while shadows drift
around me. Until at last
there is only left the
Death Chamber, Family Reunion
in it. Rocking chairs and
who is the young man
who sneaks out thru
the black curtain, away
from the bad bed.
Yeah stand now
on the new road, with the
huge mountain on your
right out of the mist
the bridge before me,
the woman waiting
with no mouth, waiting
for me to kiss it on.
I will. I will walk with
my eyes up on you for
ever. We step into
the Kiss, 1897.
The light streams.
Melancholy carries
a red sky and our dreams
are blue boats
no one can bust or
blow out to sea.
We ride them
and Tingel-Tangel
in the afternoon.

Ein Gedicht für die Irren
Am 2.ten Nachmittag komm ich
zurück zu den Frauen von Munch.
Models mit Gott über
den Schultern, Vampire,
die Köpfe hängen runter und
Blut ist das Wasser –
Farbe die sie brauchen um aufzudrehn.
Die Geschichte ist nicht fertig.
Da is’ ne Mauer
auf der man noch geh’n muß. Jaaa
Nachher – Nathan
weg, der große Eric erledigt
Swanson unten. Es ist
richtig, die Melancholie
am Strand. Ich hau
nich’ ab
Ich halt fest am Dämonen
Baum während Schatten treiben
um mich rum. Bis dann zuletzt
nur noch eins da ist: die
Todeszelle. Familien-Treffen
in ihr. Schaukelstühle und
wer ist der junge Mann
der wegschleicht durch
den schwarzen Vorhang, weg
von dem bösen Bett.
Jaaa – steh jetzt
auf der neuen Straße, mit dem
riesigen Berg neben dir
gerad’ raus aus dem Nebel
die Brücke vor mir,
die Frau die wartet
ohne Mund, wartet
dass ich sie d’rauf küss.
Ich werd’s. Werde gehen mit
meinen Augen gerichtet auf dich für
immer. Wir steigen in
den Kuß, 1897.
Das Licht strömt.
Melancholie trägt
einen roten Himmel und unsre Träume
sind blaue Boote
die niemand kaputtmachen kann oder
rausweh’n aufs Meer.
Wir fahren darin
Und tingeltangeln
am Nachmittag.
